Reindeer Sledding
Travel through the winter forest at the pace of a reindeer, in near-complete silence.
Few Arctic experiences feel as immediate as travelling across the snow behind a team of huskies.
After meeting your guide and the dogs, you will be introduced to the sled, the team and the basics of handling them. Once underway, the landscape opens up quickly: frozen trails, silent forests and long stretches of untouched snow.
The experience is energetic, physical and immersive, but never rushed. There is time to stop, take in the surroundings and connect with the dogs that make the journey possible.
Your safari begins with an introduction to the huskies and a short briefing from your guide. Depending on the experience, you may drive your own sled or travel with an experienced musher.
As the dogs settle into their rhythm, the journey quickly becomes quiet and fluid. The sound of the runners across the snow and the movement of the team become part of the experience, while the route takes you deeper into the Arctic landscape.
Along the way, there may be time to pause in the wilderness, enjoy a warm drink and learn more about the dogs, their training and life in Lapland.
Every route is shaped by the conditions, the season and the level of adventure you are looking for, making each husky safari feel personal rather than predetermined.

Everything you need to know before setting out on a husky safari through the Arctic wilderness.
Our husky experiences are selected for their setting, quality and sense of privacy. Wherever possible, we work with smaller-scale operators and tailor the route, duration and pace around your journey rather than placing you into a standard group excursion.
Yes. Depending on availability and location, we can arrange private departures, longer wilderness routes, family-friendly experiences or combine the safari with lunch, a fireside stop or another Arctic activity.
