A private transfer brings you from the airport into the quiet, with no stops along the way. The first evening is deliberately empty: a warm room, dinner by the fire and a first sauna, taken slowly.
A guided ritual moving between the heat of the sauna, the cold of the snow and long stretches of rest in between. It is unhurried and repeated several times through the day, and by the evening most guests notice they have stopped reaching for their phone.
A slow walk on snowshoes through snow-laden forest, with no distance to cover and no destination. Your guide says little, by design. Lunch is cooked over a fire in the open, and the afternoon returns you to the sauna.
The day is yours. A massage or treatment can be arranged in the morning, and the remaining hours are left deliberately unplanned. In the evening, dinner is cooked over open fire and served slowly, course by course, with no set finishing time.
No driving from place to place looking for a gap in the cloud. You are taken a short distance to somewhere dark and sheltered, wrapped in blankets beside a fire, and you wait. Whether the lights appear or not, the evening tends to do its work.
A final morning with nothing in it, a last sauna if there is time, and a private transfer arranged around your flight.
